January 2, 2004. Hello again! I hope everyone had a good holiday session and got a little bit of rest and relaxation amidst all the hubbub. I'm afraid I'm still a bit busy and will stay that way, but in the mean time, if there's a Borders by you, stop by and check out the journals they have for sale. I just got a really great Breakfast at Tiffany's journal there for $15. :) So if you didn't get enough Audrey for Christmas, go out and get that journal! I still need to get a calendar. Anyone know where I can still find them at a deal?

January 15, 2004. Ack, sorry! I've been busy lately and it won't slow down for a bit. Poor neglected site. :( But at least I'm busy acting, so it's something worthwhile (to me!). Anyroads, I was doing a search for Audrey on Yahoo to see what was out there, and I found a link to an Audrey skirt that I'd never seen before. This is a British site selling the item (because the price is in pounds, duh), but if you're interested they can definitely help you out. Here's the address:

January 27, 2004. I'm still alive! How about you? Well, as you can guess, Audrey news has been a bit slow lately. But there is a new My Fair Lady coming out next month with more goodies. If you're interested in seeing more about it or buying it, check out the news page. It's at the bottom of the page.

February 27, 2004. I am so sorry I've been away so long! I've got a play opening in three weeks and rehearsals are five days a week, and on top of that my mum, sister and I are shuttling back and forth to my grandparents' house to stay with my grandpa while my grandma is recovering from a slipped disk in her back. Suffice it to say, it's been more than a little busy here. *head explodes* But I am thinking up things to do here when I have a little time, so I haven't forgotten my dear little site. :)

*later* Graham's Audrey site is back in action, so I've updated the links page. Please note that his site URL has changed slightly, so you may want to update your bookmarks. Good to have you back, Graham. :)

January 29, 2004. A link to Sean's interview with Larry King recently: http://www.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0312/24/lkl.00.html

March 3, 2004. Hello there! While still madly busy, I am cooking up new ideas for this place. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please head over to the message board and post your ideas. In the meantime, mad thanks to Kendal for telling me about an upcoming auction I'm sure you'll find very interesting. Hit the news page for a link and details!

*later* And I'm still around. Will wonders never cease? We've been confabulating a bit on the message board, and a wonderful idea was tossed out. Why not build a sort of Audrey fan community where we could get a better glimpse of each other and meet outside of the ordinary chatrooms and message boards? I just finished writing up the basic version of it, and now you may volunteer yourselves as guinea pigs to help me test it out. :) Just fill in the blanks as prompted and I'll get the info. I'll then post everyone's info and you can see who hangs around here and what they do outside of talking about Audrey, and . . . whatever happens, happens. Sound good? Give it a whirl by clicking "the A.H. community" link.

March 4, 2004. And I'm here yet again. I'm trying to keep everyone sated for a while before my show opens. :) Anyhoo, I've just posted a new Lookalikes page. So far I have 3 ladies posted, but please send in your ideas (preferably with the lookalike's picture resembling Audrey) for me to post. I'd love to have as many as possible here.

March 5, 2004. Back again. Today I cleaned out the news page and archived all of the 2003 news, so you don't have to scroll through last year to see what's happening now. I've also added the obituary for Audrey's ex-fiancee's, James Hanson's, wife, and I found two interesting items while sifting through Yahoo that everyone might be interested in.

March 25, 2004. It was 50 years ago today that Audrey won her Oscar for Roman Holiday. Why not fall in love again and watch the movie tonight? :) Maybe I'll give it a whirl after my play tonight.

March 29, 2004. Board moderator Kendal and I had the good fortune to go and see Audrey's Ascot dress from My Fair Lady earlier today in L.A. If you haven't already heard, it and some other articles from the film are being auctioned off later this week. If you can't make it out to see the dress in person, you can register at eBay and view the auction as it happens through the site. But let me just say . . . wow! We got to touch it, too. :) We'll have pictures up ASAP. For now, check the news pages for more information on all that's going to be on sale this week and links to the auctions.

April 20, 2004. Been busy again, but I just got an e-mail from Yahoo about a free limited time download of Charade if you're interested. Of course you are! Go to the news page to get the details.

April 29, 2004. I just got a little note from Yahoo about something weird. Hershey's is releasing a new caramel-filled Kiss, and to celebrate they compiled a top 10 list of screen kisses. Audrey made the list, but not with the kiss you'd think. Hit the news link for details . . .

May 4, 2004. Happy birthday, dear Audrey! And today this site turns a year old. Yay! Thank you to every single person who's come here and enjoyed some little part of it. Once my play opens, I promise to do some major overhauling around here, as a little belated present for you all. In the mean time, enjoy today and do a little celebrating for Audrey. :)

May 7, 2004. The wonderful webmaster of the Italian Audrey website is having a new poll about your favourite Audrey websites. She was kind enough to include this little old site, as well! :) Here's the link to vote on that poll if you're interested:

And here's the link to her other polls: http://www.audreyhepburn.it/poll.htm

June 29, 2004. Yes, I am still alive! And this website is as well. I'm sorry I didn't post this, but I was busy moving and stuff before. Well, busy in a play, then moving right after we closed. But all is settled now. The only problem is staying connected to the Internet, grr. In the meantime, I have a scavenger hunt to keep you busy: a friend's sister recently saw a Breakfast at Tiffany's metal lunchbox in a store. Has anyone else seen it? It's a print of the original movie poster, to help you out.

July 5, 2004. I hope everyone had a good Fourth of July, American or not. :) Still arranging the little things after moving, and later today I have to start on organizing the garage. :P In the meantime, I have some exciting news! Someone wrote to me about another Audrey message board and we've been talking through e-mails. Turns out she's a new Audrey fan from Saudi Arabia who saw The Nun's Story on TV and fell in love with her. She just saw this site and wanted me to tell everyone hello. :)

July 23, 2004. Hey all. Yes, still alive. :) I'm sorry I didn't get this earlier, but I just saw a news story about a new Audrey Hepburn Children's Hospital being opened in New Orleans. Like the other two hospitals in New York and L.A., this hospital has a Godmother, singer Faith Hill. For more details, head on over to the news page.

August 23, 2004. This site is still alive and kicking -- sadly, though, my computer is not. I can't do any Internet work whatsover on it, which isn't very handy when you're running a website. But in the meantime, if you want to have a say in how this site will look in the future, head on over to the message board and participate in the polls!

October 1, 2004. I'm sorry again for the big gaps, but if time would slow down, I'd be okay! Unfortunately, I write with bad news today: photographer Richard Avedon died at 81. He worked with Audrey way back when, and he was the real life inspiration for Dick Avery, Fred Astaire's character in Funny Face. There are tons of stories on Richard up at Yahoo, if you're interested in reading more about him and seeing his work.

November 1, 2004. Some more sad news today for Audrey fans. Lord James Hanson, Audrey's former fiance, has died of cancer. He was 82. For more news, there are tons of articles on Yahoo news.

December 7, 2004. The How To Steal A Million DVD came out today! Is it already on your wishlist, or were you selfish and bought it straightaways? ;) A nice bonus on the DVD is the A&E Biography of Audrey, with really nice commentary by Sean and the great biographer, Barry Paris. For more information, feel free to stop by amazon.com.
In other news, Nokia is being nice this holiday season. If you stop by their website, you can send an original artwork holiday card to your friends and family, and for every card sent out, Nokia will donate to UNICEF. I've already sent mine out. :D That is, if you haven't picked up the Audrey Christmas cards available through audreyhepburn.com and mailed them out.

December 28, 2004. I just got a news story from Yahoo! Alerts about something very interesting (for many reasons). There was supposed to be a series of Audrey stamps released in Germany, but right before they were released, one of the sons withdrew the rights to use her image and all but one set of the stamps were destroyed. The one remaining set has "gone missing," and they're also worth quite a lot of money. For a link to the story, hit the news link.
Also, I have a great little Christmas announcement to make. Thanks to two benefactors over at our message board, we were able to upgrade the message board service and now we're ad-free! Head on over to the board to find out who the donors were and give them your thanks. :) I'm also still taking ideas for the remodeling of this site. If there's anything at all that you think needs improvement, updating, moving around, tweaking, or that's just plain missing from the site, please drop me a line or post about it on the message board! It's being remodeled for your enjoyment, so tell me what you want to see.

December 29, 2004. More Audrey news! Today there's a story about a pearl exhibit in Toronto, Canada that sounds really amazing. It features pearls (and faux pearls) from some very well-known weomen, including Holly Golightly's triple strand of (faux) black pearls from the opening scene of Breakfast at Tiffany's. I reeeeeeeally wish I could be there! If anyone is in the area, please let us know! I'd appreciate it greatly if someone could check it out and maybe take some pictures, even do a little write-up if they'd like. Check out the news page for the full article and to see other people's pearls.
