the Audrey Hepburn community
www.audreyhepburn.com
The official Audrey Hepburn on the web, audreyhepburn.com is also home to the Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund, a charity started by Audrey's two sons the year after she died. The site is a little slow on updates, but it does have some nice pictures of her and older information on what the Children's Fund was up to and where. It does, however, still have its store, where you can purchase Sean's first book An Elegant Spirit, along with official Audrey Hepburn t-shirts and a few other items.
Links
The Hunger Site
The Hunger Site, an old favourite of ours. If you're starting to feel the humanitarian pull after being inspired by Audrey but don't have much money, don't worry! Just go to the Hunger Site and click a few buttons. One click will feed a hungry child, another give a free mammogram to a woman in need, a click to help an animal shelter feed a pet . . . all free to you! Sponsors pay to have their advertising on the Hunger Site, and they foot the bill for these donations. A great daily habit to start that'll really make a difference.
Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation
A personal favourite of mine. One year in the mail I got a little card from the Foundation. If I just signed the card and wished Christopher a happy birthday, sponsors would donate in my name! Of course I signed the card, since I was very intrigued by stem cell research and other neurological research, and I've been hooked by their work ever since. They've fought long and hard to get the government to take spinal and neuroligical research seriously and to get over any stereotypes and misconceptions over the research. Not even the death of Chris and Dana Reeve can slow them down. This foundation is doing amazing things everyday for amazing people, at least stop by and take a look. You'll learn so much.
Simply Classics
Simply Classics is an excellent Golden Hollywood picture site. If you haven't limited yourself to just loving Audrey, you should definitely stop by this site to see some great, high quality pictures of other stars from her era. It also features a message board and downloads.
Tinka's Audrey Hepburn Site
Tinka's an old message board friend of ours. While we haven't seen her around lately, we still miss her and think of her, and hope her site is doing well!
Tribute to Audrey Hepburn
A Tribute to Audrey Hepburn has recently been overhauled! With an update blog, a shop, and much more.
Audrey Holland
A neat and modest fansite in Audrey's native tongue, Dutch! Even if you don't speak a lick, it's still pretty easy to navigate through. Or maybe I'm just saying that because Dutch is so close to German, which makes it easy for me. ;)
L'Ange des Enfants
L'Ange des Enfants, or "The Angel of Children," is one of the biggest Audrey sites around. Lots of photo galleries and a very active message board make this site worth visiting.
The Audrey Hepburn Current Month TV Schedule - A very valuable link to have at your fingertips if you love catching Audrey on TV (good only in the US). Find out which of her films is going to be playing, on what channel and which times with this easy guide. It especially comes in handy when her lesser-known films are aired at 1am, so you can set the VCR and still get your beauty sleep. This guide even shows air times for the dreaded Audrey Hepburn Story, so if my warning wasn't strong enough for you, you can brave it yourself.
Daisyland - A really nice website in both Chinese and English, Daisyland used to be one of my favourites back in the day. While she doesn't update anymore she's been kind enough to leave the site up for us, so you can still see what a wonderful site this was back before all of the Audrey sites died.
Tribute to the Humanitarian Work of Audrey Hepburn - A really beautiful site dedicated solely to Audrey's work with UNICEF in her final years, and her dedication to the children of the world. Lots of good pictures and wonderful information on her work. If you don't know much about her yet or just want to learn more about her work with UNICEF, this is the perfect site to visit. It will change the way you look at her forever.
British Film Institute - The British Film Institute (BFI) has a page up on their site devoted to Audrey, and it's really quite nice. The biography is very small, but it has a page dedicated to each of her major films which makes the trip worthwhile. Some lesser-known pictures are to be found as well.
Wikipedia - If you didn't know this already (or, stranger still, if you haven't heard of Wikipedia!), Wikipedia has an excellent page on Audrey up. It's constantly being updated, too, which makes it great. The biographical information is much more in depth than the biography I could put up here, too.
The Audrey Hepburn Library - An amazing collection of magazine and article scans from Audrey's entire life. I can't even begin to describe how great it is, so just go see for yourself. Make sure you have plenty of time to spend there, though.
Audrey's Grave - Her page on findagrave.com, this site gives a brief biography on her and shows a picture of her grave in Tolechenaz, Switzerland. While it may sound a little creepy and morbid, you can leave a virtual note and flowers for her, which makes it worthwhile. Plus, it'll save you a bundle on airfare.
Which Audrey Hepburn Are You? - A cute little quiz from Quizilla, if you were ever curious to see which character of hers you were most like. Me? Well . . .

You are Jo Stockton!
Bonjour Cherie! You're Jo Stockton from Funny
Face. You're intellectual and you care little
for shallow things, but once you find love you
loosen up quite a bit.

Which Audrey Hepburn Are You?
brought to you by Quizilla

Swiss Info - A page dedicated to Audrey's life in Switzerland on a Swiss information site. While it's mainly biographical, it does contain links to articles about the now closed Audrey Hepburn Pavilion and how the villagers reacted to it all.
That Face - A different fansite in that it works by a timeline. Just scroll along the timeline and click on a picture from the film in question to find out more information. It also has a poem by the webmaster written for Audrey, but unfortunately it doesn't look to have been updated lately.
Academy of Achievement - The Academy of Achievement has a really great website, if you have the time to look around it. But if you don't, then the link above will take you straight to a page that'll interest you. Scroll down about a quarter of the way and you'll see a picture of Audrey on the right. To the left of that picture is a paragraph describing her work with UNICEF, and below that is a link to listen to a speech she gave to the Academy and the United Nations during her Ambassadorship. A wonderful speech.
Box Office Report - Did you ever wonder just how well (or badly) Audrey's films did at the time of their release? Box Office Report will give you a rundown on the box office receipts for all of her major films. It unfortunately doesn't figure in inflation, but the numbers might still surprise you as it is.
UNICEF's tribute page - A small but nice tribute page UNICEF did for Audrey to commemorate her work as Goodwill Ambassador for them.
Top Synergy - Have you ever wondered how you and Audrey would have gotten along if you'd met? This site might be able to help you. Simply input your birth information and they'll email you your results.
The Audrey Hepburn Guide - A great resource to have when you're Audrey surfing and don't know a lot of sites to go to. It has a great listing of fansites that you can rate, as well as a guide to lesser-known Audrey books.
All Posters - Shopping for an Audrey poster but don't know what exactly you want? Try this site. It has a generous selection to choose from and you can even preview it framed to see how you'd prefer to hang it. Now your only problem is having enough wall space!
Topix - Of course, our news page is a great place to go for your Audrey news needs. But if you'd like a little change of scenery or just want to see some different articles on the same subjects, try this place out.
Want to link to us? Know of a great site that we haven't mentioned? Tell us about it! Send a link and, if you'd like, a brief description of the site and we'll be sure to visit. If you'd like to be towards the top of the list, it might help to have a link tile or other sort of picture link. (Yes, that's a hint: people like pictures.) If you'd like to link to us, here are three link tiles that you may use if you'd like:

fabaudrey link 1          fabaudrey link 2          fabaudrey link 3

You can either download and host these tiles at your own site, or copy/paste the code below directly into your site's HTML:

Audrey Hepburn Circle - A great new Yahoo group on Audrey, of course! For being small (for now), it has a very diverse group of members, and there's great conversation to be had. So if you're looking for an easy to find place to have some good conversation about anything Audrey-related, I highly recommend this group.
Google Books - If you didn't know about this already, you can search through millions of books and find almost anything you may want or need through this wonderful tool. I use Google for almost everything personal and professional, and Google Books is no exception. You'll find references to Audrey in books you would never have found otherwise. It's also an easy way to search through other people's biographies to see what they have to say on Audrey.
UNICEF
UNICEF, the charity closest to Audrey's heart. Rather than link to the UNICEF page for my country, the button above will just take you to a main page, and from there you can click on your country's flag and see what UNICEF is doing locally.
Audrey Hepburn paper doll - The original is back! It disappeared a year or two ago and has finally resurfaced. I think there are more outfits this time around. Too bad you can't change her hairstyle, too.
Audrey Hepburn paper doll - A brand new Audrey virtual paper doll from Cartoon Emporium. Featuring outfits from Audrey's most beloved films, it's fun to recreate Roman Holiday in colour!
Audrey Hepburn makeup doll - A slightly different vitrual paper doll, this one allows you to give young Audrey makeovers.
Audrey-CH
Audrey China, a very pretty website in Chinese and English that has great Audrey film posters that I've never even seen before. Very lovely, and the owner is equally lovely.
