Audrey in Love

Comments Off on Audrey in Love 11 September 2007

There’s a Spanish artist named Paco Chica who specializes in pop art. I received an email from him recently, and he’s done an installment featuring Audrey Hepburn called “Audrey in Love”. I’ve posted all of them here (my favourite to the left), but please feel free to visit his website to learn more about him, see other pieces he’s done, and contact him if you like what you see.

new Hepburn book delayed?

Comments Off on new Hepburn book delayed? 30 May 2007

The last time I mentioned Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, it was to note that the release date for the book was May 28th. That apparently hasn’t happened, though Amazon and Barnes and Noble still list the release date as May 2007. Well, they’ve only got two days left! Hopefully this book won’t be as delayed as late as the (lovely and cute) Taschen Icons book was last year.

Also, I apologize for the lack of regular updates recently. I’ve been overfull on work recently and just really needed some time to rest and catch up with myself. Hopefully, I’m all caught up now and can get back to some exciting Audrey news. Remember that her pink Breakfast at Tiffany’s cocktail dress goes up for auction on Wednesday! It’s bound to exceed the estimated sale price.

Audrey Hepburn: A Life In Pictures

Comments Off on Audrey Hepburn: A Life In Pictures 15 May 2007

There seems to be yet another new Audrey Hepburn picture book coming out! This one is published by Anova Books, and is called Audrey Hepburn: A Life in Pictures. This is not to be confused with an earlier picture book called Audrey: A Life in Pictures by Carol Krenz — at least I’m pretty sure it’s not a reprint. There’s a different cover and publishing company involved, though judging by the Amazon preview available to us, there are a lot of more well-known pictures of Audrey featured in this new book. Well, perhaps more information will come out about this book between now and its release date of November first and we’ll know for sure if it’s a reprint or not.

And just a reminder: Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, the new picture book by photographer Howell Conant, will be released on May 28! This book is supposed to be chock-full of all sorts of Breakfast at Tiffany’s goodies, including many never before seen or very rare photos taken from production and publicity shoots for the film.

Hear Barbara Walters interview Audrey Hepburn

Comments Off on Hear Barbara Walters interview Audrey Hepburn 20 January 2007

Sirius satellite radio will launch a new weekly radio show titled “Barbara Walters’ Best of the Very Best,” and for the first installment, an interview with Audrey Hepburn will be featured! The first week’s episode is about leading ladies, and besides Audrey, actress Diane Keaton and Sophia Loren (a real-life friend of Audrey’s) will also be featured. In Audrey’s interview, she confesses to falling a little in love with all of her leading men, and hopes that out of all her film roles, she would be remembered for Roman Holiday. The first episode will air Monday, January 22 from 6-7 pm EST on channel 102. For more information, go here.

"Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s" — a new book!

Comments Off on "Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s" — a new book! 18 January 2007

There’s yet another new picture book coming out on Audrey! This one, called Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s: Photographs by Howell Conant, features pictures of Audrey onset for publicity photos and candid pictures during filming of her most iconic film, Breakfast at Tiffany’s. The description on GermanArtBooks.com, which has the most information I can find yet, says that there are also fashion shoots, but it’s unclear if they are Tiffany’s related or not. All photos in the book were taken by Conant, who was also a good friend of Grace Kelly’s, and there is some text written by actress Leslie Caron (who was often referred to as “The Other Audrey Hepburn”). And here is the release information for various countries — at least as much as I could find at this time:
